CARPET

Vacuum Care

  • Vacuuming on a regular basis will remove any dirt and dust that breaks down into hard particles. If left settled in the carpet it the particles can lead to grinding down the carpet. Consistent vacuuming will remove the dry soil and extend the life of the carpet.

  • Frequent traffic areas should be vacuumed daily, standard traffic areas two or three times weekly, and the remaining areas weekly.

  • Vacuum carpets with a rotating brush or beater bar. It’s important to change the bags frequently and clean the beater bars to prevent any surface damage to the carpet. A suction vacuum is recommended for thick loop pile carpets.

Preventive Care

  • To reduce soil and moisture penetration to the carpet place mats or runners inside all home entryways as well as on any uncarpeted areas within the vicinity.

  • Heavy furniture or anything with wheels should be placed on coasters to equally distribute the weight. The best way to move furniture on wheels is with a shielding barrier under the wheels.
